Terms of Use
The ground rules for using Hobby-ist safely and fairly.

1. These terms
These Terms apply to the Hobby-ist website, accounts, hobby groups, lessons, events, posts, and related features. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 to use the service. If you are a minor where you live, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for accurate account information and for protecting your credentials and two-factor authentication methods.
3. Groups, lessons, and hosts
Hosts, instructors, and participants must accurately describe activities, schedules, prices, qualifications, safety information, and legal requirements. Unless expressly stated otherwise, hosts and instructors are independent users—not employees or agents of Hobby-ist. Participants should assess suitability, risks, and accessibility before attending.
4. Payments, cancellations, and refunds
Paid activities may be processed through payment providers such as Stripe. The price, fees, confirmation rules, cancellation terms, and refund terms shown before purchase apply to that transaction. Card or bank information is handled under the payment provider’s terms and privacy policy.
5. User content
You must have the rights needed to post your text, images, and other content. You retain ownership, while granting Hobby-ist a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and adapt that content as needed to operate and improve the service. After deletion, content may remain temporarily in legal, security, or backup records.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, hateful, or harassing activity; violate privacy or intellectual-property rights; misrepresent an activity, price, or review; distribute spam or malware; scrape or reverse engineer the service; or abuse payment and safety systems.
7. Editorial content and external links
Local Buzz and Hobby Journal provide general information and inspiration, not legal, medical, or financial advice. Prices, schedules, and third-party policies can change, so confirm current details with the provider before booking or purchasing. Third-party sites and services remain the responsibility of their operators.
8. Service and account changes
We may change or discontinue features and perform maintenance. We may restrict content or suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, security risks, legal requirements, or protection of other users, with appropriate notice when reasonably possible.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Hobby-ist does not guarantee every activity, host, piece of information, or outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we limit liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. These Terms do not limit non-waivable consumer rights.
10. Governing law, changes, and contact
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. For material changes, we will update the effective date or provide appropriate notice. Questions may be sent to team@hobby-ist.com.
